Manta Movement Ecology from Tracking Data
This dataset includes the raw data for the analysis for the research manuscript to be submitted to the Royal Society Open Science Journal as:
" First insights on the movement ecology and foraging behaviours of oceanic manta rays Mobula birostris in the coastal waters of Aotearoa New Zealand " authored by T. M. Cooper, L. Green, E. Setyawan, M. V. Erdmann, C. A. J. Duffy, R. Constantine, A. Della Penna.
Tamsin Cooper (lead author) graduated from the University fo Auckland in 2023 and was supervised by Rochelle Constantine and Alice Della Penna.
The dataset includes the horizontal and vertical raw data from the manta rays (Mobula birostris) from tags deployed in the Hauraki Gulf by the MantaWatch NZ team https://mantawatchnz.org/ under ethics permits provided by DOC.
