This item consists of two R scripts and their documentation.


VoyRisk_physdist_pair_ecoprov.R calculates voyage-related marine biosecurity risk from computer-generated maritime vessel paths between pairs of Marine Ecoregions Of the World (MEOW) ecoprovinces (Spalding et al. 2007). The physical length of the path is used to calculate voyage duration risk. The cross-latitudinal extent of the path is used to calculate voyage path risk. 


EnvSim_envdist_pair_ecoprov.R calculates environmental distance (Keller et al. 2011) between MEOW ecoprovinces (Spalding et al. 2007) from World Ocean Atlas temperature/salinity data (WOA 2018), then uses environmental distance to calculate environmental similarity risk.
