Working together for Inclusive Education: Interprofessional Education (IPE) across health and education sectors: Report by the University of Auckland Coalition on Applied Cognition/Learning and Thinking/Learning Sciences.
This report first builds a case for interprofessional education, before describing the skills, knowledge and attitudes that successful tertiary educators need to model and teach for interprofessional collaboration. It next outlines the content and processes needing to be taught, such as communication skills, along with descriptions of approaches for programmes and curriculum. It finally discusses the need for both preservice and further professional learning and development in relation to interprofessional education.
