Patent Landscape Report - Dairy Milk, Alternative Milks and Milk Hybrids

This patent landscape snapshot is centred on insights relating to recent innovation in dairy milk, alternative milks and milk hybrids.

As there are a huge number of patents in this space, we have limited our search to 2018 onwards.

First, we look at the global patent trends, in particular comparing what is happening inside China compared to other countries, particularly in the plant based milk space. We then look at some examples of milk hybrid patents, and a few start ups using unique ways to express milk proteins.

Finally we profile some of the recent patent filings from some of the largest dairy multinationals and well funded disruptors like Ripple Foods, highlighting their innovation focus moving forward.
