This lecture was given at the 6th psychometric summer school at the Moscow Higher School of Economics in August 2019. This lecture addresses questions of how to determine whether an admissible model is an acceptable representation of a data set. It also discusses the use of ADF, WLSMV, and ML estimation methods. Examples are given using the NZSCoAVI data set whcih can can be analysed using ML and WLSMV estimators.
There is also a dichotomous data set analysed using ADF or WLS concerning answers to a 24 item MCQ test of assessment literacy.
The Brazil higher education SCOA inventory data set is also included with a syntax file for analysing the inventory using the WLS estimator for 6 point ordered categories.
