This lecture was presented at the 6th psychometric summer school at the Moscow Higher School of Economics in August 2019. This lecture focuses on the differences between EFA and CFA and describes how CFA can be conducted with Jamovi. 2 factor sets are described from the NZSCOAVI data set. Syntax files for use in lavaan are provided to conduct 8-factor intercorrelated model of the SCoA-VI inventory and for the same model with the Brazil data, which did not include item sf4. In addition, there is material here for the computation of factor scores using the Bartlett regression method. Syntax for computing this in lavaan is embedded in the PPT. Additionally, the Bartlett score output for the factor scores in EXCEL format is provided. This is useful when calculating a path model.
