Academic presentations can be uploaded in their original slide format. Presentations are usually represented as slide decks. Videos of presentations can be uploaded as media.
Presentation introduces researcher and research support audience to Figshare, concentrating on how it may be used by researchers and institutions to enable data sharing.
Details of the University of Auckland implementation of institutional Figshare are given as an example.
- What incentives (carrots), rather than policy and mandates (sticks), have worked to engage researchers in research data sharing behaviours?
- How have University Centre for eResearch, Libraries and Learning Services, central and faculty based IT, and researchers collaborated to increase institutional awareness of research data management?
- How we have used our institutional Figshare, within a wider programme of RDM education and outreach, to facilitate institution-wide data sharing conversations.
Presented by Chris George, Figshare Product Manager, and Laura Armstrong, Research Support Services Librarian at the University of Auckland, at eResearch NZ 2017, 22nd February.
