Thulani Palpagama: Neuroinflammation in the Human Cingulate Cortex in Huntington’s disease
Huntington’s disease (HD) is a genetic neurodegenerative disease. The cingulate cortex plays a role in emotion processing. Neuroinflammatory changes in HD is evident in the literature and is hypothesised to promote cell death. Our study examines microglial, astrocytic, and neuronal changes in the middle cingulate cortex in human HD tissue.
