Tamsin Cooper: A ray in the life: Fine-scale movement of oceanic manta rays (Mobula birostris) in the Hauraki Gulf

Oceanic manta rays are globally endangered, and in New Zealand are data deficient. Recovered satellite tags reveal the fine-scale horizontal and vertical movements of two manta rays in the Hauraki Gulf – a potential hotspot area for this species. This research will be used to inform better conservation management decisions.
