Ross Millar: ¡Punctuation! for Sign Languages (Framing the Big Picture)

<p dir="ltr">In the design process, an idea sometimes pops up out of the blue. This was the case when designing a writing system for signed languages for deaf people. Thoughts about what punctuation was needed solved the problem of co-articulation of non-manual signals with signs made with the hands - showing when non-manual signals, expressions and body/head shift start and end.</p>
