There is a growing interest in understandingcarotenoid biosynthesis inhorticultural cropsbecause of their numerous health benefits to humans. Orange-fleshed Kiwiberries are a great source of genetic information to study the pathwaywith an attempt to breed novel Kiwifruit varieties with higher nutritional value and novel morphological trait.
