Huntington’s disease (HD) is a genetic neurodegenerative disease which results in mutant huntingtin (mHTT) aggregate formation. These have been linked to neuroinflammation which is primarily mediated by activated microglia. This work shows a potential link between activated microglia and mHTT aggregates in the midcingulate cortex of HD cases.
