In Aotearoa children are learning about trapping possums through environmental education programs designed to conserve endangered native flora and fauna and protect primary industries. The program narratives reflect a war regime against possums, with children as heroes, future guardians/kaitiakitanga of nature and conservation dogs as humans ally in this battle.
