Laura Duval: The use of reach kinematics to distinguish between recovery phenotypes after stroke

Stroke can cause major disability, often with weakened motor control. Reliable outcome predictions are crucial for patients. Current tools are 75% accurate in predicting three-month outcomes within a week of stroke. Patients with good predictions show two recovery phenotypes. Kinematic analyses may help us dissociate between the two recovery phenotypes.
