Kris Cheng: Teaching Steel Design with Rubber!

Lateral torsional buckling (LTB) in steel design is one of the most difficult topics in civil engineering. More than 20% of current students really struggle to understand the visual link between mathematics and physical behaviour. This research is aimed at developing a comprehensive teaching tool for LTB to be used in a classroom environment to enable that link.
