Julia Imo: Stretching Human Brain Cells to Detect Concussion

Traumatic brain injury (TBI) is a major global health concern, often classified as mild, moderate, or severe, with mild TBI (mTBI) being the most common yet poorly defined. This poster aims to simulate mTBI using an in vitro model with human brain pericytes on a cell injury device, shedding light on this prevalent but understudied injury for improved diagnosis and treatment.
