This research aims to gain a clearer insight into the shallow magmatic system that feeds Mt. Taranaki. I will employ geochemical and petrological techniques to investigate magma storage and ascent. By investigating this we will have better knowledge of the characteristics of future eruptions at Mt. Taranaki.
