Chloe Leong: DOUBLE THE SHOT, DOUBLE THE GAIN: Tracing chemical clues: Additive analysis of polymeric products using Double-Shot Pyrolysis Gas Chromatography/Mass Spectrometry (Py-GC/MS)

<p dir="ltr">This research aims to develop a Double-shot (DS) pyrolysis Gas Chromatography/Mass Spectrometry (Py-GC/MS) methodology for the analysis of polymeric substrates found at crime scenes.  Results of tyre rubber samples analysed using DS-Py-GC/MS show enhanced discrimination compared to routine single-shot Py-GC/MS due to the detection of additives present in the polymer.  </p><p>This poster was uploaded for the SGS Research Showcase 2023.</p>
