 The ability to isolate trophoblast stem cells (TSC) from term human placentae is pivotal in our understanding of major pregnancy pathologies, but to date has proved challenging. Using a novel cell-sorting technique, we isolate TSCs directly from term placentae, giving us potential access to the full disease trajectory.
