Cherry Sun: Term side-population trophoblasts can be maintained in culture and differentiated to mature trophoblast populations.

<p> The ability to isolate trophoblast stem cells (TSC) from term human placentae is pivotal in our understanding of major pregnancy pathologies, but to date has proved challenging.
