Movement-related injuries are a significant concern for musicians, yet student pianists continue to experience a high injury rate due to insufficient knowledge, improper training, and a lack of focus on body movement coordination. In this video abstract, I present highlights from my 2023 ASPAH conference session on "Interventional and Descriptive Research." My research offers a systematic training approach to address these challenges, equipping young pianists with healthy playing habits and a deeper understanding of sustainable techniques. Emphasising proper movement coordination and body awareness, the approach aims to prevent playing-related injury risks while fostering expressive and enduring piano performance.
