Yunjung Kim: Treasured memory

The image of treasured memory represents the remembered exceptional places in exploring the mother’s lived memories. The shadows are proposed based on the memories of the places which are significant in her life and further allow a sudden dive-in into the past; it delivers a compounding experience of transferring feelings of reminiscence. In the way of researching, the process of the treasured memory boosts the project that investigates the lived memories and their spatial relationship to architecture, focusing on the ability of space to transfer feelings of nostalgia and exploring slippages of memories as a design catalyst.
