As a scientist we spend our time searching in the dark for new discoveries. For me that literally involves sitting in a darkened room, searching for fluorescently dyed neurons. This image depicts some Ganglionated Plexi neurons, that cluster in groups on the surface of the heart. I use images such as this one, to look at how these clusters change in heart disease.
