This pure silver hand worked piece of body adornment that impinges on the neck and lower jaw and limits head movement where the only comfortable position of the head to be held at an certain angle. This is in response to concepts of gender, desire, and identity from a Julius Schulman’s Case Study House #22 image where two women are placed in an uncomfortable domestic scene, poised on their seats, too far away from each other for meaningful conversation thereby having little to communicate with subsequent generations looking at the work, other than as objects.
