Ella Simkin: Postcards of Home

This model represents my installation for Art Week 2021 (which may or may not take place) and is a reflection of my home. Sitting as a fragmented room, walls are taken away and replaced with the temporary. Drapery walls can be drawn in close to create enclosure or opened up wide to invite people in— with image transferences of my own room from home. The public will be able to assemble the space themselves, and look back at their own memories of home via postcards— where I ask questions about how they inhabit their own homes.This image of a creative item was uploaded for the SGS Research Showcase 2021: Creative Items category.
