Wanyu Li: Entanglement

<p dir="ltr">The interwoven lines in the image are derived from the lines of my palm print. You can see my blurry right hand in the image. My research focuses on the relationship between the body and matter in contemporary art from the perspective of new materialism. Especially the concept of agencies's; entanglement in Karen Barad's agential realism has brought great inspiration to my creative work and theoretical research. The entangled lines show the extension and rich possibilities of "I", which are brought by the interaction between my body and nonhumans. As an artist and researcher, I interact with matter and weave it into colorful phenomena that are manifested in my artworks and theories.</p>
