The image represents the balance between query accuracy and data privacy protection in data streams. The two stacks of stones symbolize the contrasting goals: one represents data accuracy, and the other, individual privacy protection. The wooden plank between them illustrates the delicate equilibrium required to optimize both simultaneously. The binary data flow cascading over the waterfall symbolizes the continuous, secure nature of data streams, reflecting the complexity of real-time data processing while preserving privacy. On the right, the blurred binary flow merges into the natural landscape, showing how privacy mechanisms are seamlessly integrated into the system. On the left, the emerging data network visual represents processed data outcomes, illustrating the flow of useful information while maintaining confidentiality. I chose the waterfall as a backdrop because of its similarity to streaming data. Additionally, by blurring the data flow, I aimed to convey the concept of protection inherent in the differential privacy approach.
