Digitally Mediated Communication Study Conducted in the Early Learning Lab, University of Auckland Set-Up (Figure 1) and Instructions for the Social Games played by Parent-Infant Dyads (Figure 2)
In this study parents engaged in a series of min-interactions with their 18- to 30-month-old child in two digitally mediated contexts: side-by-side with a tablet and in a video chat set up. The social games included: Playing with blocks, new object label teaching, playing with a farm scene, peek-a-boo and interacting with one object on the screen.
