The Auckland Bioengineering Institute (ABI) has developed and tested a new clinical gait marker set for use with the Musculoskeletal Atlas Project (MAP) and OpenSim.
This markerset uses redundancy of inverse kinematics to avoid placing markers on the thigh and areas that are susceptible to soft tissue artefact. Additional markers on the elbow and wrist can be used to track the upper limb.
Markerset List and location are indicated in the table below. The shaded boxes indicate that the marker is used only for the static, scaling trial (i.e. 19 tracking markers and 9 additional scaling markers).
