Are you afraid to publish your article Open Access because you’re not sure how to tell a predatory publisher from a legitimate one? This talk dispelled some of the myths that surround predatory publishing and Open Access. It included some common red flags that can identify predatory publishers, as well as the best online tools and platforms that can help you critically assess journals before you submit.

This session consisted of a short presentation created by Donna MacColl and presented by Berit Anderson and Rachel Chidlow, with Q&A after.

  • Dr. Donna MacColl is a Team Leader for Nga Rātonga Manaaki Rangahau o Te Tumu Herenga, Waipapa Taumata Rau, Research Services, Libraries and Learning Services at the University of Auckland.
