Experimental Database of 310 Fiber Anchor Tests for Externally Bonded FRP Strengthening on Reinforced Concrete Structures (2005–2025)
This dataset presents a curated collection of 310 fiber anchor tests conducted on concrete structures between 2005 and 2025. The tests cover a variety of anchor configurations, including both bent and straight fiber anchors, installed at different insertion angles to evaluate their performance in enhancing FRP-to-concrete bonding.
The data were sourced from a range of published research, including peer-reviewed journal articles, technical reports, conference proceedings, and accredited testing programs (experiments conducted by Simpson Strong-Tie Inc. over years) reviewed by ICC-ES (International Code Council Evaluation Services). For each test, 5–7 key variables are recorded, such as anchor depth, insertion angle, bond strength, anchor material type, and failure mode.
This dataset serves as a valuable resource for researchers and engineers studying the effectiveness of fiber anchor systems in concrete strengthening applications, providing critical insights into anchorage behavior, load transfer mechanisms, and failure patterns across a broad range of experimental conditions.
