Birkenhead Scenario thermal modelling

Datasets usually provide raw data for analysis. This raw data often comes in spreadsheet form, but can be any collection of data, on which analysis can be performed.
Thermal modelling has been undertaken for the Birkenhead eruptive scenario created by the Determining Volcanic Risk in Auckland (DEVORA) research programme (Hayes et al. 2018). First, FLOWGO (Chevrel et al. 2018) was used to calculate the temperature of the lava flow with increasing distance from the vent. Then, the thickness from the MOLASSES modelling in version 1.1 of the DEVORA scenarios and the temperature from the FLOWGO modelling was used in heat transfer calculations conducted by ANSYS APDL.
