Presentation introduces researcher and research support audience to Figshare, concentrating on how it may be used by researchers and institutions to enable data sharing. <div><br></div><div>Details of the University of Auckland implementation of institutional Figshare are given as an example. </div><div> - What incentives (carrots), rather than policy and mandates (sticks), have worked to engage researchers in research data sharing behaviours?</div><div>- How have University Centre for eResearch, Libraries and Learning Services, central and faculty based IT, and researchers collaborated to increase institutional awareness of research data management?</div><div>- How we have used our institutional Figshare, within a wider programme of RDM education and outreach, to facilitate institution-wide data sharing conversations.</div><div><br></div><div>Presented by Chris George, Figshare Product Manager, and Laura Armstrong, Research Support Services Librarian at the University of Auckland, at eResearch NZ 2017, 22nd February.<div><br></div></div>
